Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actor from America. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick earned an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The show ended on August 13, 2012, after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish heritage and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
